Another great day last summer was when we went to Brighton Pride. We’d been to Pride in London the month before, but this was the real deal.

Eloise rocked up in full unicorn regalia and completely stole the show (sorry Francis). Drag queens, leathermen and goddesses in body paint all took one look at Eloise and admitted defeat. Japanese tourists asked to have selfies taken with her.

The thing that I remember most is that Eloise had a dreamy look of complete insouciance on her face throughout. To her, nothing could have been more natural. When people made a fuss, she was like “Jeez, haven’t these guys ever seen a unicorn before?”
