Dedicated to the memory of Eloise Land

This site is a tribute to the wonderful Eloise Land, pictured here with her beloved siblings Kirsty and Francis. Eloise was variously a penguin 🐧, a cat 🐱 and a unicorn 🦄, but always herself. Nobody who had the honour of knowing Eloise will ever forget her generosity of spirit, her immense courage and loyalty, or her wicked sense of humour. She is much loved and sorely missed and will always have a special place in all our hearts.

Thoughts

Eloise you would love my new kitten Betty. She's so small, funny and loves cuddles. I miss you so much and I hope somehow you are able to see her. I've had a lot of changes over the last year and wish you were here just to talk to. I told a friend about you the other day and said one thing about Eloise is that she is a great listener ❤️

the sun is shining properly today for the first time in ages, flowers are growing again and they always make me think of you, especially the dandelions. this time of year always hurts for more reasons than i can name, so much has changed these last few years, ive changed so much, but sometimes a certain smell or taste or feeling will take me all the way back to 5 years ago, and all i can do is sit with the memories and let them take me where i need to go. it still hurts el, but i have learnt that in order for spring to bloom, you must first accept the winter. there is so much out there el, i intend to find it, and i'll carry you with me everywhere. i hope the sun is shining wherever you are :)

I wish I could go on a walk with you today. I miss our walks we used to do together and how spontaneous we used to be together. The other night I kept thinking of ways I could bring you back and it's really hard to come to terms with that not being possible. I don't like passing milestones that you haven't passed because it just doesn't feel fair. My grandad has kittens in his garden that you would love. I hope that in some way or another you can see them.
