We spent Eloise's 8th birthday in Tiverton, staying with Nan and Grandad.  It was a typical Devon late summer's day, in other words it was bucketing with rain from start to finish. We went to see the matinee, in the Tivoli local cinema, and Mamma Mia was on.  We were transported to that sunny Greek Island on that afternoon.  We all absolutely loved it, and came out singing and dancing, in a very bouyant mood.  That was the first of many viewings of that film, and over the years it remained one of Eloise's favourites.  We watched it time and again, mainly with Nan, as it was one of the few things which kept her stilland relaxed.  But that first viewing, when it lifted the spirits on a rainy birthday is the most memorable.
