Swinging in South Park

Created by Adam 6 years ago

South Park in Oxford is a very special place. I managed to spend 3 years at Oxford without bothering to walk up to the top (I know, bloody students) but we made up for it when Eloise was at the Highfield. It has the most astonishing views of Oxford, only slightly impaired by the cranes in the sky (they may be ugly, but think of all the future shopping opportunities...).

South Park was the first nice place you got to when you came out of the Highfield. As such it was a regular source of outings, particularly short ones. I always associated it with Eloise getting better, as it was the first baby step back towards independence.

There was a small playground near the Highfield with a Witches Hat that the kids loved to swing in. I love this series of pictures and especially how easy the kids were in each other’s company and the simple pleasure of having the gang all together.
