Many of my happiest memories of Elosie will be of simply playing together and being silly. She was so young when we first met, and as she grew up our own children were also so small, that we spent a lot of time in playgrounds, spinning on roundabouts or on swings, or crawling around with either her or another similarly sized child on my back. I remember when she and Kirsty were small enough for me to pick them each up at the same time, one on each hand – they would link fingers and I’d have to hoist them into the air. I inevitably lost the energy to do this before they did!
